What Love Wanted

This house is what love wanted

As the land wanted feet

Treading, climbing, jumping

The rivers wanted squeals

Of children laughing

And a bathers fright

The soil wanted fingers

Kneading and planting

The rocks wanted collecting,

Skipping and colors on a side

The twigs wanted a fire

To eternalise the night

The stars wanted gaping

And souls that are alight

This home is what love wanted

And it was right.
